Welcome to Interim Meeting
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is our great pleasure to announce the 15th Interim Meeting of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), which will take place in Rome on September 8-12, 2015.
It is a privilege for the Italian Society of Neurosurgery (SINch) to host this important event after the success of the previous Meetings of Porto de Galinhas, Brazil in 2011 and Nagoya, Japan in 2007 and it is a great honor for us to serve the WFNS, the World professional and scientific Organization whose aim is to promote global improvement in neurosurgical care.The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) is also delighted that Europe was chosen for the next WFNS Interim Meeting in Rome in 2015 and for the World Congress in Istanbul in 2017.
The Meeting will focus on the major breakthroughs and advances in Neurosurgery, from clinical practice to research, technology and innovation for a top-level scientific program, including many opportunities for young neurosurgeons through hands-on and educational courses.Rome is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and is one of the greatest openair museums, recalling about 3000 years of the history of Civilization. For this reason the Meeting theme is “From ancient Rome to modern world Neurosurgery”.
